As the world is preparing for the second wave of coronavirus, the tropical island of Mauritius is currently facing an environmental emergency.Â
Because of the severe ecological impact the nation is angry about the inaction of the local authority to curb the oil spill at its early stage. Many are complaining about the pristine beaches, nature reserves, and turquoise water turning into dark color. The locals living close to the oil spill are exposed to the toxic air circulating in the area. Fishermen are highly impacted as they rely heavily on fishing to get an income.
